    Hi,

I am running Windows Vista with auto updates etc as recommended.

On start up I get an installer screen for OSD_1.2 where it appears Windows is looking for the program or update.

When it can't be found the computer works by closing the boxs, lately I have been getting the screen going blank as if the computer is restarting.

Is OSD_1.2 necessary or is it some sort of virus?

Any idea how I ca fix this?

    Thanking you all in advance,

    Peter.

I doubt it's anything malicious, run dds from step 5 and post it back here. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055274237 (you can do the other steps if you feel like it)

If the file is missing dds should show the related registry entries, which can then be disabled so it shouldn't annoy you again.
