    Hi all,

I'm just wondering if there is anything out there (preferably Free) that is a bit more zippier than iWeb(09).

My hosting is through my Mobileme a/c..(I know,I know...)

While everything works,it's a little sluggish when you load the site.

I tried Rapidweaver and it was a marked improvement.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    IM

Its not iWeb thats slow, its the hosting from MobileMe. Find somewhere else to host the website...

    Hi 00Blaine00,

    Yeah, I thought that alright.
    Anyone any recommendations for hosting(Digiweb,Blacknight..)?
Its just a fairly basic personal site.
A bit of my own music, blog etc...

Digiweb and Blacknight are both excellent hosts in my experience. There might be some free options out there that meet your needs though, seeing as you dont need any server side stuff for iWeb pages.

    Thanks for the replies guys.
Just one more thing....would this package do?
I'm using iWeb now but I may swap over to Wordpress or Joomla/Drupal at some stage.

    Thanks again.

I dont think so, because they both need a database which that hosting package doesnt list support for.

Edit: Having said that if you are only starting with iweb, then thats fine, its very easy to change or upgrade hosting.

    Cheers for that Truckle.
Have given up on the idea of the Starter package and am going to go with the Advanced linux one.
