Yeah, I have a Panasonic TV and the sound on both RTE1 and TG4 is affected by a recent change in the broadcasts. To get sound on either channel I now have to press the "option" button on the remote and change the multi-audio to "eng" (it defaults to "nar"). But every time I go off the channel and go back to it, I have to reset it to get the audio back.

I've tried to find a way to save the setting for each channel, but no luck so far.

Hope this helps as a temporary solution.

Have the exact same issue here from Mullaghanish on the TX-P50G10B UK Freesat model, I also have a TX-L32G10L Irish Panny Model and have no problems, it seems to be effecting the UK Spec pannys only.

What models have you got Charles and Kenny?

    Solution

Press the option button on remote control. Change from narrative to Irish.

The same problem should also exist on RTE1 where you have to change from narrative to English. You have to do this everytime you change to one of these DTT channels. Pani firmware I'm afraid!

EDIT Sorry didnt see Charles solution.

I don't think panasonic give a flying fùçk about the irish market.
You'll probably end up being told that it's a uk tv for the uk market, and that it was never intended for the irish market, thus why it was never officially released here.

    Probably..
But you won't know unless you try.

I agree I seen a new Panasonic 3D TV and it seems like a UK domestic model complete with "Freeview" and "Freesat" branding which Panasonic would normally remove from the Irish variant as they do on the G10L (Irish) compared to the G10B (UK Freesat). I couldn't care if there never was an Irish model just make sure the British ones will work here no problem. Still they have an excellent picture and their plasmas are still the best on the market.

What about RTE what are the chances of getting them to undo whatever they did that made this happen who would you mail to let them know?
