Just read an interesting little piece of info from worldreferee.com regarding todays match official Carlos Batres. Here is what it says about him

we have over 2500 referees in our database and not many have such a staggering high average of 5 cards per match as Batres. In an international match with Batres in charge a team has an almost 70% chance of losing a player (well, divided in half of course, since there are two teams...).

He was the official for Algeria/Slovenia which had 4 bookings and 1 red card, although unless I'm mistaken(possible :P) the red card was for 2nd booking for a ridiculous handball in the box.

Ladbrokes offering 12/5 for a red, but I'm looking at over 45 points at 8/11 which I'm going to double up with 25-45 points in Slovakia-Paraguay game(9/4).


Anyone else got any bets of interest?

I back Italy at 1.9 at 0-1 but I don't think they'll win this now. It'd be one of the biggest shock in World Cup history if they failed to beat New Zealand.
