Question about sick certs

    I am working in a temporary position, I had my JSA suspended for the time I am working, my work doesn't pay sick days and I need to take a few days off (at least, could be more depending on what the doctor says, I might have to get a small operation), does anybody know what I should do? I cannot afford to miss out on money, can I get social welfare for the days I am sick?

    Also, does anybody know what the gross pay treshold is for applying for a medical card? If you make over a certain amount you may not get it, anybody know this amount? Thanks.
