Hello all, I was just wondering does anyone have much general info on getting into the business of electrical security systems. I know that there is a fás based apprenticeship but is it 4 years? Also what is the pay like? It doesnt really say on their site!

Also would a course such as this one, http://www.stjohnscollege.ie/index.php?pageID=38, be an adequate qualification for getting started in the business?

    Cheers guys!

Hands on work is the best way to learn. Courses are run by the manufacture of all systems you will need to work on. Doing these and getting a few systems to mess around with is the best way to learn.
