I'm fed up with Scum bags, Ireland is littered with the filth, we should have an island outside Ireland where we ship off all the scum so they won't bother us.
I'm fed up falling for thier lies and thinking "Maybe he's not so bad" Or "Maybe he has changed" but scum DOESN'T CHANGE. EXTERMINATE!

This happened under British rule. Now they dominate our screens with cheesy soap operas.

I've grown quite fond of scum bags. They're kinda cuddly and I got one as a pet last week.

But I wouldn't leave it alone with the dog cause it'd eat it in a minute as soon as your back is turned.

You totally took that up the wrong way. An island outside Ireland is England. At what point is what I said racist or "anti-British". You'd either want to read posts properly or get a grip of yourself pronto buddy.

Anyhoo back on topic scum bags are ****, and if there were none, I would give out about the posh gits who are sometimes worse, and can literally get away with murder.

I too hate scum bags and i love how we can all agree that they are sub-human and not deserving of basic human rights. The only problem, is how do we define what a scumbag is.

    I propose some simple criteria, anyone who fails any of them should be sterilised, have "scumbag" branded on their forhead with a cattle-branding rod and sent to the island. The criteria i propose are;

    1. Belongs to the working class
    2. Wears tracksuit pants outside of sporting activity
    3. Listens to "dance" music
    4. Uses any recreational drug that is not alcohol, nicotine or caffeine
    5. Works in a bank
    6. Works in the public sector
    7. Voted Fianna fáil in the last election

good lad, you managed to miss the point majorly. WHich was that its pretty rich to point the finger at the public sector after the sh1t that went on in the private sector, the last line was to show that I know not everyone was at it, i.e. NOT a generalisation

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,134 ✭✭✭Lux23

I think most middle class Irish people need 'scumbags' so they have someone to look down on. We have no other ways to feel superior.

idk, i suppose like the word "scumbag" it can mean whatever you want it to mean to satisfy any sadistic urges you have to dominate/humiliate other people/groups of other people you see as below yourself.
Why just the last election ?
Who knows? Self-righteous AH rants usually just talk about voting FF in the last election. Don't ask me why!

As you are new here i will assume you didn't realise i was joking. If you look around this forum you will see it's full of people giving out about "scumbags", some of the stuff they suggest is pretty shocking actually, especially when you take into consideration that "scumbag" is a really loose term that means different things to different people (all the examples of what constitutes a "scumbag" were taken from other people's posts on this forum ). Someone out there considers all these groups of people to be "scumbags", in fact we're all scumbags in somebody's eyes.

The term itself is incredibly self-righteous and de-humanising, which is a dangerous thing. Many people seem to have no problems with "scumbags" being treated worse than animals, in fact some posters seem to have violent fantasies about "scumbags" being treated in such a way.

Also, dublindude69 is known for starting stupid, pointless threads. This is just one more of them. I'm 90% sure he's actually ripping the piss out of the typical AH poster in his OP.

I think the post you were referring to was a tongue-in-cheek reference to the way scumbag is defined in AH. You'll get used to it.

Unless it wasn't and I'm missing the point.

    Edit: vinylmesh said it already.
