    this coromandel writing box was my great grandmothers. I would like to get a value on it and was hoping someone might point me in the right direction. any help appreciated, thanks

    bigbertha - nice writing box and looks in good nick but I think an auctioneer would be the best person to give you an idea of its value. If you let me know what part of the country you're in and I'll put up a list of auctioneers in your area. :)

    thanks Judgement day. I am in Dundrum dublin 14. The box is in good nick but the 2 ink wells are missing. secret drawer works too:)

    the leather was replaced a few years ago. the box has a small mark/scratch on the lid which is not noticeable. my grandparents & then parents always kept it in a cabinet....no one was allowed touch it lol
