Louth v Westmeath

So there will be a new team in the Leinster Final this year and hopefully they can give a good account of themselves. Everyone will want Louth to win this one but Westmeath haven't won a whole lot either.

Louth were very impressive in disposing of Kildare in the last round. They have a very strong midfield where Westmeath have struggled in recent years. Louth have some quality players mixed throughout their team especially in the forwards with JP Rooney. If John Keane takes his place on the Westmeath team it could be an interesting battle between him and Rooney.

Westmeath did enough in the last round with a new team in reality from the league. Dual star Paul Greville looked impressive against Wicklow together with some of the U21 players this year; for example Ger Egan and Conor Lynam. They are not a one man team as was labelled in previous years.

I expect Westmeath to win this one by the tighest of margins. What a turn around that would be.

Yes, but they also conceded 1-16 so doesn't instill much confidence in their defence. If westmeath can control louth forwards they've a very good chance considering the forwards westmeath have.

should be a great game Louth have someusefull forwards but very dodgy at the back and in Brian white and paddy Keenan they have the best midfield in Leinster. have backed Louth with pp thought 11/8 was a terrific price

First Westmeath game I'm actually looking forward to in a very long time. Still struggle to have much confidence in them, but I'm hoping!

I think Westmeath may edge this. Should be a good game either way.

I think if Westmeath can get good quick balls into Dolan Glennon and Lynam then we have a great chance to progress

Anyone know any way of watching this from the UK? No chance of any pubs showing it over here with the football crowd in

Expect Wee County to win if they can play to their potential. Big "if" though.

Reid has been poor for Louth so far, they need to get the ball into Lennon a lot quicker.

If Louth can get a grip of dolan, I think they'll win this one
