Hi, im making a power pack for a logsplitter at home and i was wondering where would be good places to get a hydraulic pump. It will be driven off a 1.9 peugeot engine i have lying around. Ive tried hi-power and they said they would do a Roquet one for 250 euro but i did not get the specs of the pump off him (i must ask him for the specs). Does anyone know a few prices of pumps new or secondhand by chance and where i would go to buy it in cork? What should i look out for when choosing a pump? What kind of information does the spec sheet of a pump supply? If i run it at 1500 to 2000rpm it will give me the flow rate of it at that specific rpm?. Is there something about matching the torque curve of the engine to the torque curve of the pump? I dont think ill go into too much detail with it but it would be handy if i knew what to be looking out for in a pump.
