    Hi all,

Planning a trip to Tokyo/Japan for Sept/Oct this year for my honeymoon, and am hoping to head somewhere else afterwards for a week or 10 days (preferably within 4/5 hours flying time of there)

I've done a lot of SE Asia/China/Borneo/Malaysia etc, but am looking for other more unusual suggestions for somewhere to go for the remainder of the holiday?

We love trying new foods, would love somewhere near a beach for some diving/watersports etc, don't particularly want to be stuck on a tiny resort island, would prefer to have loads of things to do during the day, and have the option to relax if need be!

    Thanks in advance!! :D

I would recommend Koh Samui, a small island off the south east coast of Thailand. I know you said you wouldnt like a small iland resort but Koh Samui offers a lot of activities during the day with a great nitelife and a vast cuisine!
