Buying Sound Card in Dublin?

Hey, i'm just looking for a new sound card; nothing fancy - but i would like iTunes to sound nice. I bought my Dell PC in 2002 (yes, 2002!) and over the last few months, my speakers/earphones crackle heavily. After much research, I've determined it's the sound card at fault and i need a new one.

What's a good price for a sound card? I don't want to spend more than 40 euros. I'm reluctant to buy/ask in Peats because those bastards overpriced me twice & fed me lies to buy extra crap. Shame on me, I guess. Where would you recommend? I'd like to buy something around town if poss, or liffey valley etc.
