Will 13inch MacBook pro be sufficient for recording midi and some audio (not alot of audio) into cubase, 2.4 speed with 4gb of ram, obviously apart from the size of the machine, I know it will be small, am more concerned about the computer processing ability, any feedback would be much appreciated.

The only real issue is the hard drive - it is a little slow and it is always best to record to a different drive than you system drive. However, yes the machine will do that job for you. I have 13" MacBook (aluminimum uni-body) which is almost same model as yours that I use live running audio and midi tracks and it works fine. I wouldn't do serious recording on it tho.

Thanks Sean for the reply :D,
What would you call serious recording?
How may tracks would the mac cope with do you reckon?
All I do is record approx up to 16 midi tracks (mostly alot less) and then I re-record them into audio once I've finished with the midi editing, and then maybe I'd add dynamics/effects. (Don't record vocals yet, can but don't) I can also add dynamics/effects at sound module level which could cut down on the cubase&mac processing.
Just out of curiosity, which program do you use on your mac, if cubase any issues with it on mac operating system?
