    Hi there,

Im looking to buy a tablet(?) this summer to use for when I go to uni in September. It`s primary focus is for taking lecture notes, reading notes and docs, running some scientific based software, browsing web, emails, occasional watching of video while commuting.
I will use my home pc as my main machine for intensive activity like gaming, video editing etc

    Primary requirements are:
Ability to take lecture notes using handwriting e.g with stylus
Built in microphone and webcam for recording lectures, tutorials etc
    Small form factor and weight
    Long battery life
Ability to connect to external monitor

    Optional extras I would like:
    Keyboard and touchpad
    Touchscreen for navigation

Any suggestions? My budget is whatever it costs to meet my needs.

Tablet laptops are great in theory but tbh they never really work as well as paper for note taking. I've never used them, but knew people in college that did and they went back to paper after a while.
