Dunno, I'm actually starting to think Farrell might not be the worst actor in the world, after seeing him in Ondine.
Certainly give it a look anyway.
Most likely be terrible, as most films are these days, but ya never know.

Ray Winston is really growing into the 'grandfather of crime' type roles I think. Will definitely go see this for him if nothing else.

Watched this last night. Though it was actually very good apart from
the Layer cake / Carlito's way ending.
Farrell and winstone were excellant, and Ben Chaplin was his usual fantastic self.

    A few questions though.
    1. Why was Mitchell's back story not developed? All we know is that he went to prison for gbh but nothing elser, except for he is universally feared and known by reputation.
    2. Developed from 1, why was he allowed to shout down Gant in the site after Gant shot the man tied up? Surely if Gant was the indescriminate psyco killer portrayed, Mitchell would be dead for the audacity alone. Mitchell was proved not to be "untouchable" after the dinner meeting when Gant decided to kill him.
    3. Billy's involvement in Mitchell's time in prison was also alluded to when mitchell asked him something along the lines of "were your hands dirty? Did you think I didnt know" I may have missed something here

Anyways, definately enjoyed it. I think Farrell is running really hot at the minute and am looking forward to this new Vampire one he is in.
