Footwear for Aqua jogging

    Hello,

Does anyone know where one can get footwear for aqua jogging? I've read it's the best substitute for running training. Without grippy footwear, your feet slip all over the place so there is no traction to work the muscles.

    Thanks.

Ideally with aqua jogging you shouldnt be hitting the floor but rather your flotation vest should keep you above so that your legs have no impact. There are specialized runners you can buy though i am not sure if anyone in ireland stocks them

I've only ever seen people aqua jogging in deep water. I don't quite understand what you're trying to do with "traction"?

The pool I use is only waist deep. I saw a video clip demo of it and the person had special grippy shoes and was able to wade from one end to the other without too much slipping around. I figured with the right footwear you could really emulate running just with about a third of your body weight.

    Here is a that video.

I have seen the stationary version aswell but it does not look appealing.

By the way HM, well done on your mammoth run. I was looking forward to shaking your hand last Saturday but alas you could not make it. Hope the feet are getting better.
