    Hi all,
Just need a bit of help with this one?
We have a Ltd Company set up in Dublin. It is a Franchise from the Uk, quaterly royaltys are sent to this company. It is a theatre arts school, ie: educational. We have always been VAT Excempt.

Our London office has just informed us that we must pay Vat on these royaltys now, to the Revenue Commisioners here in Ireland.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

    Many Thanks

I thought royalties were deemed to be 4th Schedule Services. You would self-account the VAT on them but cannot take an input credit by virtue of being VAT exempt.
