Really not sure if this is the right forum, but I'm sure Des can't direct me elsewhere if I am in the wrong. ;)

Very simply, I'm currently doing an American History Masters that necessitates the reading of newspapers articles on Vietnam from the mid 60s to mid 70s. However, the archives of the New York Times, Chicago Tribune etc cost money - 4-5 euro per article, which is insane. Ultimately I need to go through a mass of articles so paying isn't really much of an option.

Is there a way around this? Is there, for example, a website that features American papers archives for free or even a nominal fee?
