    so how did everybody do?

Ellipse/Parabola (Boat logo)- easy. Got all the little details like the rudder and the tandent okay

Isometric Scale (Boiler?)- really easy. No trouble at all

Translation, central symmetry etc. (Butterfly logo)- easy enough but a bit confusng. By the time I got to rotation I messed something up and the lines ddnt go through the centre of the circle (P4) but it was okay.

Orthographic projection (Castle)- prettyhard, glad I left it last. Got a bit done

Overall I'd say it was a pretty easy exam. Some lad put his short question answer booklet on my desk and I almost looked in it thinking t was mine, but I noticed his exam number on the front which he wrote in red pen :pac:

    I thought it was kinda hard. Q1, Q2 & Q5 were easy.

I barely had any time to do Q6 but it was hard anyway.

The short questions were ok too.

    Hoping for a B.

I did crap in this but I'm finished now so I don't really care haha!

Did Q2 (rotation), Q4 (solids in contact), Q5 (transformation geometry) and Q6 (ellipse and parabola).

Reckon I did okay, solids in contact was a bit confusing.....draw a development of one slanted side, but other than that it was fine:D;):D.

Were should the new position of the rotation have been? Because I think I did it wrong :o

I only done 3 long questions I spent ages trying to do the axonametric but it didn't work! :(
I done the elipse - Was pretty good happiest with it anyways!
Rotation - Easy just is a pain rotating every single point I mean it doesn't prove anything does it?

Overall I done pretty crap! :) I don't care though didn't touch a book and now I never have to do tech graph again so I think it's I that win! :)

ya there isnt enough numbers to label all the points lol

all you had to do was rotate four points of the circle? the top, bottom left hand side and right hand side

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,171 ✭✭✭kevin12345

Is that how you do it? Oh I divide the circle up using my 30/60 degree set square then bring up the points:D

I was on about Q2 .. the Rotation question .. haa

Eh but it was a circle? It wouldn't be a very accurate one if you only took four?

sure it would, you only need to use the compass on those points anyway to make the butterfly.

So confused! :( But that's not a new thing for me in tech graph, I didn't do the transformations question so it's even more confusing..

It's over and we can all relax!

oops lol I ignored all the other questions because dont know how to do those, and the transformation question has a rotaton at the end
