downloading programs from UPC Digital +

    Hi Guys,

    Just found out i am now able to get HD in my area which i want to order ASAP
    I have lots of stuff recorded i haven't watched yet.

    Is there anyway i can download it to external harddrive/laptop etc.

    No, there is no way to copy or download material directly from the DVR's HD. The only way is to use some kind of TV capture device on a PC connected to the SCART output and play back all the material you want in real time and record it on the PC. Tedious and time consuming, and you'll get a degradation in quality as everything is being converted from digital to analogue and back to digital again.

    You could always keep your old digital+ box and avoid the 40 euro activation fee. But your bill will increase by 10 euros a month.

    What about connecting it to a dvd-r, and playing it back that way?
