    Hi All

I recently broke my little finger playing hurling and needed to get 2 K-Wires inserted. The cast has been on for the last 3 weeks and came off yesterday. The wires stay in, but are jutting out by my knuckle and they will be pulled out in a further 2 weeks.

My question is has anybody had any experience with excercises to regain finger movement after this type of injury. I have pretty much no movement now and want to excercise it before it just packs up..It's extremely painful at the moment but if anyone knew of excercises to start off it would be great..I didnt get any info from the hospital really.

I'd get in contact with the hospital and ask to be put in touch with a physiotherapist!

Get in contact with your consultant or get an appointment with a physio who knows your case, you don't want to take internet advice and do something which damages your finger...

This would fall under the medical advise part of the charter, so don't expect much info.

In general bones are set with wires to stop them from moving, so they heal properly.
