How can tenants get rid of another tenant/s

I'm writing on behalf of a friend who's English is not the best.

A group of Polish moved into a house about 4 years ago. Over time some have come & gone so there is only one of the original group left.

About a year ago they took in an Irish guy. He seems to suffer from depression and has had difficulty paying his rent....but they generally helped him out. Now he's not paying his rent at all.

They took in another guy about a month ago & they reckon he is selling drugs.

Is there any way they can get the two of them to move out?
Is there anything the LL can do ? (the original guy who has been in the house for 4 years gets on well with the LL).

    Cheers & thanks

Check out this from Citizens Information.

It all depends on the terms of the tenancy. Have these tenants signed a fixed term lease?

They have a lease which runs out at the end of June.

They want to stay in the house, but they want the 2 losers gone.

I assume they can't just change the lock:D....too easy!! Plus they might just break the door down!!

Remember the articles in the Sunday World about Irish students in the US? Being an a$$hole isn't confined to one nationality.

    Exactly so.

IF you read the OP; it is an IRISH guy who is causing problems not the Polish tenants.
Who it seems took in an Irish man when he was in need - and another also

Phone threshold; they are the experts on this; are the two difficult ones on the lease? That is what will matter; as the lease expires soon, you should be able to renew it with only the people you want and give the others notice?

We know and chat with many Polish people; they are clean and hardworking folk.

Many also do the kind of jobs others refuse.

Many are returning home because of the unfriendly, racist attitudes and behaviour they are encountering here. Even mothers with small children.

Sure, you can get less amenable guys as you can with any nationality
