So i set up Outlook 2007 to send/receive emails from gmail,

it decided to purge my gmail online account and transfer them all to
    a local .pst.

very annoying , i never requested this. What is the setting to stop this ?

    i followed these instructions exactly - http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=77689

When you set-up the account, at the point where you have to enter the account settings, click the 'More Settings' button. Click the advanced tab and check the box for 'Leave a copy of the messages on the server. Try that and see if it works.

I am using outlook 2007, I went to the Tools Accounts and Change for my gmail account, there is a more settings button and advanced tab but no "Leave a copy of messages on the server" option ?

I have looked around and can't find it, since then though , my new emails
haven't been purged from the gmail server.. but dont wanna risk it though..
