    Hi guys,

as per the title, does anyone here work in audit in london? i'm a qualified accountant based in dublin, working in general audit rather than one specific industry. I'm contemplating applying for jobs in audit in London, but have a few questions

    - are the working hours much longer/harder than a top 10 accounting firm in dublin?
    - is the workload similar? i would have presumed if anything the methodologies maybe better
    - would moving into Financial Services audit be particularly difficult considering its not an area i've previously specialised in

I'm new to this forum, so if these questions have been asked and answered a million times before, is there any threads still knocking around?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi

I worked in London in the audit for a few years and I must say it was the best experience I have ever got, both professionally and also in terms of character building etc.

The standards and practices are sharper. If you are qualified and experienced in auditing, you will be expected to know all the auditing standards backwards.

    Best of luck
