    Hi guys,

I'm a documentary photographer, I am looking to do a piece on the target shooting community in Ireland (specifically pistol shooting) in light of the whole controversy with licenses, because I can see this getting more attention before it gets sorted.

    I've two questions

1st are there any events coming up in the next 2 weeks or so that would involve pistol shooting or would it all be small bore rifles? preferably in the Dublin area

2nd how would the clubs feel about my taking photographs? would i need to be a member? or are visitors allowed?

any help you guys could give would be fantastic

    Regards
    jimi

Our club would always be very cautious regarding any photographs taken of either equipment or members.

What you have to bear in mind is some people may not want the general public knowing what they may have in their homes. Similar publications have resulted in targeted thefts in the past, with the possibility of worse consequences than stolen guns!
