This morning my father received fixed penalty notice for speeding with a picture of the back of his car. The envelop and letter is addressed to Jerry but his name is spelled with a G....Gerry.Would this slight misspelling of his name be grounds for appeal/not to pay it.What would the next step be?.Cheers

    No.

Tell him to pay the fine and forget about getting off just over a miss-spelt name ffs.

No. Minor errors will not effect the FCPN. If he wishes he can write to the FCPS office and inform them of the mis spelling.....and they can issue a new one.

Also you should check if the vehicle is registered in the name Jerry......as this is a Gatso ticket the registered owner of the vehicle is the one who gets the ticket.

as this is a Gatso ticket the registered owner of the vehicle is the one who gets the ticket.
Who is free to nominate someone else as the driver.
