Does anyone have any experience of the IT job market in Australia?

As a graduate with a 2.1 degree in commercial computing and 8 months working experience in mobile application development would it be worthwhile looking over there?

Thanks, Not really interested in moving, I dont like being away from home, I know a load of lads out there that keep saying there is loads of software dev work for graduates with great wages.

So was wondering if there really was or if they were talking crap.
