I have a laptop here that had some liquid spilled on it and the keyboard stopped working.

I did a quick check and determined that the keyboard was the issue so ordered a new one.. received it, installed it and nothing.. nothing working..

Checked the system board for spills, no sign of anything, all good.. reinstalled Windows (Windows 7 btw) and the keyboard appears to be working again, except for 6 keys over on the left side of the keyboard where the liquid was spilled on the old keyboard.

    Anyone come across this before?

    Tox

Where the keyboard connects to the motherboard clean this area with alcohol and leave to dry.

Sounds strange that the new keyboard has the same prob as old, sounds to me like the prob is with the board not the keyboard
