Hi, I was just wondering if anybody who has been using this for a while has any tips for a new user.

So far I've figured out how to add time onto the beginning and end of all my recordings in case any shows start early or end late. You can pause and rewind live tv even when you're not recording it, that's a great feature! I've also set up the remote so that I can use it on my tv.

Is there anything else? I've set bookmarks on my recordings by pressing the green button, but haven't figured out how to use that properly. One basic feature would be to select what minute you want to jump to in your recording, but I haven't found it, is it possible?

And does anyone know how to permanently change the 'channel view' in the guide? I'd prefer if I could stick with the one channel view but it reverts back to the standard one with all the channels and the programs all muddled together each time I leave the menu.

You can record two channels at the same time once you have the box in standby before the 2nd recording starts.

And here is the last one there is an optical out on the back of the HD box and if you have an Amp all the HD channels are in Dolby Digital 5.1.

Yes forgot about this one when viewing a recording press play and it will show how far you are in and how long is left.

Also when your recording a channel you do not have to wait for the recording to finish to start viewing.

HDMI also carries the Surround Sound signal which is perfect if you have an AV amp with HDMI inputs and outputs.
