We have wireless broadband but we lose connection during certain times due to leaves on trees. Sometimes it works perfectly thro the summer and we just wondered if anyone else had similar problem, do leaves block the signal for you?

I remember reading a post on this site not too long ago where some bloke couldnt get DSL in his area and all he had was a dongle, reception wasnt great. Had the brainwave of sticking the dongle in a weather proof box, tacking it to the tv areial and running a long USB cable into the house. IIRC it worked pretty well. You wouldnt have to go lumberjackin in the back yard either

No good for REAL Wireless Broadband. It's already on an outdoor aerial.
Also often higher frequency than 3G/HSPA dongles, more easily blocked by trees. But your idea does work for Mobile Phone based Internet, which despite the advertising is NOT Wireless Broadband. It's Mobile Internet.
