Wonder is that Season 3? Good for them if it is, only a week behind the US. I'll even consider waiting for it. Have they shown S2 yet?

TG4 will be repeating the First series this summer, followed by season 2. I asked them (in my best Irish) if there was any chance that season 3 would air before Christmas, I did not get a reply :(

I think that FX get the rights before either TG4 or C4.
    Have they shown S2 yet?

Season 2 has not yet been shown on Terrestrial TV. IMO HBO are pushing Pay TV.

TG4 have not shown Season 2 yet

FX UK be showing Season 3 probably next year as will Channel 4.

FX UK have not started showing Dexter Season 4 yet

I said this the last time about TG4 and Channel 4 expecting that Season 2 would run straight after season 1 but here it goes.

I expect that TG4 will run season 1 up to Oct followed by season 2 until Christmas followed by season 3 in January. I also expect Season 2 to start on C4 in the autumn followed by season 3 in January. But knowing how HBO serials are ending up on FX I can see Season 3 on either c4 or TG4 by Mid 2011 :(

FX might show it in Sept but I don't have that channel.

They don't have the kind of money that RTÉ and TV3 spend on imports. What they tend to do is by a few quality shows and repeat them. All broadcasters buy repeat rights.

Again I assumed that the repeat a few months ago was going to lead to season 2. :(

They will also be repeating The Wire :)

How many times have FX shown True Blood 1?, pay TV tend to over repeat its part of the business.

That's a pity, thought it was too good to be true. Ah well, I'll have to continue asking my cousins to send it over, this is one of the shows I can't wait for!

oh yes, that's what i mean. however did i get my meaning mixed up? *sarcastic* ;)
they just put the VHS copy up on the net, and i get that way. funny how it comes out as an avi file in HD quality, isn't it? :D

no boards rule against saying you download the show, is there? just not about where you get your "VHS tapes" ;)

Season 1 starts again tonight with double episodes at 11:30 on TG4, it will then be followed in September by Season 2 and according to RTÉ ten it will be followed in January by Season 3 :D But will season 3's boxset be released in time for Xmas?
    True Blood
    11.30pm TG4
Sadly this quality vampire drama had a stake driven through it's dark heart by all the silliness that is Twilight. So if you missed it first time round TG4 are showing series one, followed by series 2 in September and this in turn will be followed by series three in January. Here's the deal, across America vampires come ''out of the coffin'' after the invention of mass-produced synthetic blood. In Louisiana, Sookie Stackhouse, a waitress with telepathic abilities, falls under the spell of a sexy, 173-year-old vampire named Bill Compton, whose thoughts she can't read.

Having read all the books, I'm intrigued.

Does anyone know, is it likely to be on TG4 player? My bedtime is 11pm :o

They have yet to put any of their imports on the player yet. Set to record.
