Have just got a Panasonic PTAE700 from a friend. Powers up but then immediately goes into standby. Have tried searching for specific results but no answer. Is the "standby feature" a normal mode to indicate a fault ?

New to the whole projector thingy but would like to incorporate in into attic conversion shuold I ever get around to it.

Don't know much, but is it possible it is not receiving anything, a cable fault maybe?

I'm assuming it's not new. How many hours has the bulb run for? The panasonic projectors go into stand by or switch off once the bulb is over a pre-determined amount of hours ....... as far as I know
