Motorway auxiliary lane question.

    Given the length of the auxiliary lanes on the M50 I was wondering if your speed on these is restricted to less than that travelling in lane 1 of the motorway.
    For example, if traffic in lane 1 is travelling slowly, say 70-80kph, would travelling faster than that in the auxiliary lane be illegal (overtaking on left).

    Nope. Its a separate lane for leaving at the next exit. The left lane is not leaving so they are considered to be part of the M50 flow of traffic. You would not be but common sense should prevail because, naturally, people are fvcking stupid.
