finished watching it a few days ago,a true masterpiece like the first one band of brothers.amazing how real the fighting parts were, nothing edited out,it does nothing too glamorise war but shows it in all its utter awfullness.

Was a bit underwhelmed by it myself. Certainly wouldn't call it a masterpiece.
The narrative felt way too disjointed. Couldn't really empathise with most of the characters.

Some of the eps were really great though, the Sledgehammer ones in particular.

I couldnt wait to watch these meself and as said before me even though I did enjoy it I did think it was too disjointed. Been honest I think the only thing that let it down was the fact it was so over-hyped. I remember think this is gonna be epic and i personnally felt a little left down but that is only personal opinoion, my mate said he loved every minute. after watchin them all I felt like if I watched them all straight threw my head would have been all over the place between all the charactors scenes. Often had to wait a few minutes to remember exactly what charactoe we were with in the scene. Still good to watch though and as said I did enjoy it.

It was fantastic TV but I wouldnt call it a masterpeice, which is what Band of Brothers was.

The show had one major flaw imo, the story was far too fragmented. There wasnt a primary set of characters to identify with because every other week they'd switch stories between Leckie/Basilone/Sledge and the supporting cast accompanying each of those 3 characters. Cut out Basilone and a fair bit of the America/Australia stuff, spend the first half of the series on Leckie then the second half with Sledge and develop the supporting cast a little more and the narrative would've benefited a lot imo.

sorry too hear that guys and gals, well it would be a boring old world if we all thought the same thing about everything.i do agree band of brothers was the best but did love the pacific as well.i hope spielberg does his next few movies as good as these and not return too the garbage he did like indiana jones a few years ago.

Enjoyed watching it especially the last couple of episodes. Spielberg and Lucas are working on the next Indy film.

6 episodes into it at the moment and not massively impressed... There are some great combat sequences, and I actually really enjoyed the episode where they all went AWOL in Australia, but it's just not grabbing me as much as I expected it to...

Probably hyped to much, like a lot of shows these days.
