    1. Online check in - how does it work? havent done it yet but need to get it done. Also do we need to collect physical tickets before flying out?

    2. We just bringing carry on luggage, will school stlye packpack be ok for this or would they fit into this box or whatever its called at check in?

Anything else i need to know?

    Thanks in advance

OK online check in is easy - go to Ryanair.com and on the left hand side of the page near the bottom you will see an "online check in" button thing you click on, then you just have to follow the instructions VERY carefully. Triple check everything you have typed in before you confirm just to be safe. I travel with Ryanair a lot and am always very careful to make sure I have everything right for my own sanity! Then you just print out your boarding passes direct from the site - simple :)

As for your bags, rucksacks should be fine - so long as you don't overfill them. Make sure they don't weigh more than 10kg (and remember you might bring extra stuff back). If you are unsure there are bag dimensions on their site somewhere that you can check against your bags with a tape measure (I have done this once, felt like a complete muppet but it was worth it!) Ryanair can be COMPLETE baggage nazi's, thankfully I have never been on the wrong side of them, but have heard some blood boiling tales - in fact some are lurking on Boards no doubt!!

Most of all, have a fab trip :D

Ryanair are anal about baggage. Remember everything must fit into your one piece of hand luggage. Handbags, duty free, laptops etc. Ryanair are weighing hand luggage at the gates in Cork airport, perhaps the same in Dublin also, so make sure the hand luggage weight is under 10Kgs.

A handbag or airport shopping counts as a piece of carry on luggage. If ye have either make sure you can fit then into your main bag.
Up until recently I used to fly with Ryanair once a week, in Dublin, especially at Pier D they really enforce the luggage rule. Especially the multiple items.

Once you follow their rules you'll have no problems, they are normally on time, clean & up to date planes, etc. Most people have issues with Ryanair are the ones that ignore the rules.
