Are insurance premiums higher for left wheel drive cars?.

    I was working in France for the last three years and I have a mint 2.5td Citreon XM that I want to bring over to Ireland and register. Do insurance companies charge higher premiums for left wheel drive cars?.

    They should be slightly higher. Overtaking on a single carriage way is a bit hoping for the best

    not if you stay a bit further back ...also, quite often you can peep past the car in front on the left and get a good idea when it's safe to pull out slightly to have a closer look

    Axa does not charge extra for LHD
    Hibernian does

    Whichever you go with, just make sure you specify it is a LHD
