Have an USB to RS232 cable connected to my edision mini to try to reset it (Have ASH on panel after screwing up S/ware update). Can see the Com port OK now (Com 5) but when I try to use the edision mini RS232 tool it opens the port fine but then seems to fail connection test.

Any ideas folks? Using Win7 BTW but also have a linux machine if people use that. Cheers

Have noticed before that thes eUSB to serial adaptors dont work great in Vista or Win7. Do you have access to a machine with XP by any cahnce?

I have onew of these to do myself over the weekend from a customer that had a power cut while upgrading so I will let you know how I get on.

Hey slegs, did you have any problems using the USB to RS23 cable this weekend? I tried on XP also. No luck. I left all port values at default. Anybody any ideas? Maybe cable's a bit bogey. Never used it before
