You'll do immigration when you arrive in Orlando. I'd be at the airport at 6.30 - 7.00.

Yes I would agree 6.30 at the latest and I would be there even earlier (but then I am always in the airport waaay too early.) You clear immigration in Orlando on the flight because they consider your flight starting from the UK. If you were flying Dub-Mco direct, you would clear immigration in Dublin. Don't worry about immigration, it is pretty quick and painless. They have a lot of desks open so you shouldn't be waiting long. Last year, we cleared immigration, collected our bags and got our rental car in less than an hour.

We flew that route last year, it's fine, it feels quite a bit longer than flying from Ireland and having a stopover in the US, but I believe Virgin are good to fly with. Our flight was with BA, but wouldn't risk flying with them this year. Enjoy your trip!
