Hi, we're moving to rented accomodation. We don't know what to do about SKY (keeping costs down). We don't want a landline anymore, so I don't want to be forced into getting something like that. I spoke to SKY rep and he informed me that if we leave the contract early there is a penalty. When we move we are liable to pay €77 approx for engineer to reinstall the box and another €38 approx to link up the SKY box using a special machine that overrides the need for a landline.

Once this is sorted I can get on to my other utilities. I'll be on the forum very frequently methinks.

    Any thoughts/suggestions would be welcome.

If you want rid of it and the be able to escape the contract clause, tell them your moving to the south of spain.

They will soon cancel your contract!

Otherwise just find a local TV installer who can hook up your Existing Sky Dish.

I have multiroom and neither of my boxes have ever been connected to the phone line. Never had any problems.
