    Hi.

Could someone please help me with this dilemma. I am at present in full-time employment but am also trying to build up a business in a different field. I want to know how to go about filing tax returns and registering the small business. Very low income expected in first 2-3 years of starting business. In fact taking into consideration website fees and advertisement a possible loss may happen.

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated!

All income that you earn is liable for tax assessment (this doesn't mean you will be paying tax on this extra income but it does have to be assessed).

Speak to a local bookkeeper who can advise you on your obligations. You're better off starting out on the right foot with a new venture like this.
