    Hi,
Just wondering would anyone know off hand, or is there any easy way to tell, if these roof bars, would attach onto the roof rails of a 2004 Astra G Van.

Also, any opinions on this jack? It looks nice and compact and it could be quick and easy to use, but the connection point looks a a bit thin diameter wise in comparison to other jacks I've seen  Again, not sure if it would be suitable for my vehicles and I wouldn't expect the lidl staff to be trained to know either and would have as much of a guess as I would :)

    Any feedback appreciated :)

The roof bars look OK as long as you do have the rails, but the top of the jack does seem very narrow. Looks like it will just go straight through the floor!

There is usually at least one box open in Lidl so you'd be able to check the top of the jack before buying - €10.99 is very reasonable, but I'd be going more heavy duty if it's for your van.

    Thanks ROR :)

Yep, I have the rails already :) I wonder could they be put on upside down to give a more secure strapping edge using the rails, as opposed to no edge when they are on top. I'd been looking for ones before and this seems like a decent price for the amount of use they'd get (very rare).

The jack would be for the Astra, I've more heavy duty "looking" ones for the transits, but they are only rated at 2tn themselves, when I queried this since I have a 3.5tn transit, I was told it's going to be a lot less than 2tn on one corner with the rest of the wheels supporting the rest of the weight which makes sense, but if the top of the jack here is so narrow, it may not suit even the astra, looks like it could very easily slip :o
