Where are my analogue channels? (UPC)

I had the old style UPC digital box (i.e. no digital+ or DVR et.) and I could get the standard analogue channels as well which was handy for using teletext.

However I bought a HD TV so upgraded to get the digital+ HD box and to save myself a few quid went for the self install which I did today. However I can't get my analogue channels anymore and the teletext doesn't seem to work with the digital channels.

Did I do something wrong with my install or are the analogue channels not available with the newer style boxes? If not, where do I get my teletext from?

The HD box doesn't have any RF output like your old box, so generally the feed is split with one feed going to the HD box and the other going directly into your TV.

Certain digital channels carry teletext but use the TXT button on the UPC remote and not your TVs TXT button.

I wouldn't advise using the cheap plug in Y splitter. It could lead to signal break up on the HD box . Best thing to do is give UPC a call. But if you feel like giving it a go It should look something like the image below. The side of the split were the hand is goes to the outlet box on the wall, while the two outputs go to the TV and HD box.
