Well as the title says, I need some help as I've been trying to get my head round what I need exactly!

I'm going to Ibiza for 1 week in a few weeks. I've been before but every time I've been before I've brought everything but the kitchen sink!! So I've been googling capsule wardrobes but still can't get my head round what I need so was hoping some of you fashionistas could help me!!

    HELP!!!

Everybody brings too much. Always. You are on holiday, you ARE allowed to wear the same outfit again.
You don't need 3 pairs of shoes with you. Buy espadrilles when you get there and leave em behind when you come home.

    Planning planning planning!!!
Pick a pair of shoes and make sure everything matches them.
Pick one outfit for each night and only bring those outfits. Don't give yourself choices.
2 bikinis and 1 pair of flip flops. Both bikinis to match the same flip flops.
2 Beach skirts is plenty and again, make sure they match the bikinis/flip flops
2 very light cotton dresses that can roll up to nothing.
    1 light nightdress

Make sure your underwear suits your outfits. I know girls who've bought loads of nice new underwear for the hols and then can't actually wear half of it under the clothes they have with them! And remember - they can be rinsed out so you don't need to bring 7 of everthing.

You can get away with minimal make up on holidays (if you wear it at all). Foundation, powder, mascara, neutral eye shadows and vaseline/lip balm. You're not going to need make up during the day.

Sun cream obviously a must - Soltan in boots do great little squishy pouches and are buy one get one free.
Face wipes save you having to bring cleanser/toner/cotton wool etc.

Shampoos etc can be bought over there and left there. Alternatively buy the miniatures before you go - but they're pricey!

Basically - plan and pack early. That way you're not firing everything as your running out to the taxi!

dont bring heels, because youre crazy if you think you will wear them. pair of black flats for the clubs, cos the english eyeeebeeffa heads will stand on your feet.

I have a pair of gold and a pair of silver sandals, that way they match every colour you have.

I did ibiza the last 2 years and I've brought 4 light dresses for the clubs, 2 skirts, 1 shorts and 4 tops (tank tops mostly). And when you end up not being able to go out one of the nights due to having no mental or physical strength left...you can wear one or two of the dresses.

When Im going over on the plane I wear the shorts with leggings, and take off the leggings when I get there

I think the main thing is to bring things which can be easily mixed and matched. For example, a neutral coloured pair of shorts so they go with lots of tops. Don't bring too many pairs of shoes - they weight down your luggage! I always bring more underwear than needed, just in case! Buy a washing powder you can use in your sink.

Pack everything you think you need, then take stuff out until you're under the weight restriction.

Oh yeah I'm defo not gonna bring any heels out way too long every night to be bothering with heels. I'm not too worried bout shoes because I'm going away with 6 girls and we're all a size 5 so shoes aren't a worry!! :D

Its more a thing that dya think I need 7 night time outfits and then a 4(ish) day time ones like shorts and vest tops + swimwear??

Anyone know any nice (and cheap) shops in Dublin/websites where I could find nice dresses??

As i said, there is no way in hell you will end up going out 7 nights in a row over there.

I would try asos.com for cheap holiday dresses. Other than that try Stradivarius/Bershka/Pull and Bear or Zara

Are you going to be going to the proper clubs like Amnesia/Space? If so, dress light. Cotton/light dresses cos you will be roasted. Nobody really dresses up for the clubs whether the big ones or the the disco bars. Its usually shorts and a top and flats

Ah yeah sure I've been before and we go out every night so this year should be no different!!

Yeah, we're gonna go to the proper clubs bout 5 nights I'd say, we get there the Tuesday so Carl Cox is a-calling!!

Dya think that many dresses is too much?? I wanna pack lightly enough as I hate all the rush packing when your coming home.

I hate leavin most of my wardrobe behind.. i'm for italy in 2 weeks so will be planning the wardrobe now.

Nothing nice in the shops at the mo, i find the shorts all too short and the dresses aren't light enough. I've vitaligo as well, wondering does anybody have any light ideas on how to cover up legs?

I'm sure most people could find a pair of shorts to suit their body type, there is so many out atm!

Oh Italy I love it! Any idea how warm it will be? The only things I can think of as cover-ups would be linen trousers and leggings but I don't know if leggings would be too warm. It depends where your going in Italy. A lovely pair of white linen trousers and a colourful top is always a lovely look imo. Also a maxi dress, there are some beautiful ones out, almost in every shop. Would you wear cropped trousers or would you have to have your whole leg covered?

I can't understand the reasoning on going out to buy a whole crop of new outfits here and then stuffing them into a bag and bringing them abroad. I bring as little as possible, then do my shopping over there where I'm going to find stuff that is not available over here, usually cheaper and perfectly matched for the weather of the country I'm visiting.

I need a whole new summer wardrobe because I've lost a good bit of weight since the last time I was on a sun holiday. And as much as I'd say I'd go shopping once I'm there it just never happens, either too hungover or just want to flake on the beach! I love shopping for your holidays aswell, it gets you so excited! And I tend to be quite organised and would feel weird going away knowing I don't have enough clothes.

Oh you'll have a great time, I love Italy so much!! It will be very hot tho I'd say.

Its gonna be great, I haven't been there in 2 years and can't wait now!!

Oh Tesco have a great selection of sandals atm, I dunno how feet friendly they'd be tho but they are really nice! Well the one in Clarehall does so I'm gonna be getting mine there. I haven't been in Penneys in ages as I always spend a fortune on stuff I never wear. What are the dresses like? Because some of their sun dresses have small chests and then go quite big from the waist down.
