hey guys, im trying to book a flight online with aer lingus with a credit card. All goes fine until im asked for the card holder's first name. the card i use just has an initial instead of the first name, this is flagged as an incomplete entry by aerlingus when i click on continue. every other site just asks for the card holder name all as one entry unlike aer lingus who wants first name and family name as seperate entries. Will i just chance the full first name of card holder?
    Any advice would by appreciated,
    EF

My last laser card which I used to book flights didn't have my name on it , it had my account number instead! But whenever I used it online I would just put my name in where it says card holders name... Hope that helps!

There is no risk in trying it. All Aer Lingus use the card holder name for is to verify the card and process the payment. This process is carried out straight away when you click the "pay" button on their website. If the payment goes through using the full name, you will know instantly as you get a confirmation. If the payment is declined, you will also know instantly as you get a corresponding message. Nothing is charged if the payment is declined. There is no risk.

    Yep.
Used to have the same problem when booking on my mam's credit card and just put in her full name without any hassle.

Hey guys as mentioned above, the payment went thru immediately using the full first name and the transaction was a success! Off on sunday-delighted. Thanks to those who replied,
