Any English supporters going to wear their jerseys out of the house during the WC?

Before we get going, this is not a thread about any particular match during the WC, nor is it an english bashing thread, but just to see if anyone brave enough who are supporting england and have an england jersey will wear it in public, obviously only applies to people living in ireland.

have an england jersey my self, but never worn it on a street in ireland as have a good idea of some of the abuse i may receive.

and even though i get on well with my local landlord and a few of the cliental in my local, if i wore it there i will probably be asked to go home and change

so any england matches i will probably watch from the privacy of my front room and take the abuse from my house mate when we get knocked out on penilties

of cousre if ireland were there wouldn't be having this conversation at all

What's the point in having a jersey if you're not proud to wear it?

I only wear jerseys of teams i support, and am proud of.

If you're English what's wrong with supporting your team.

Have a union jack flag from a drunken night out I'm prepared to wave. Mind you, not much a of a big deal in Berlin...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I will be proudly wearing mine.....in the back garden.

Seriously, I'm not sure. I will see how brave I am come Saturday.

People are free to wear whatever they want. If anyone is offended by a soccer jersey, they need to shut the fúck up.

Anyone know if this has actually happened anywhere? (Not "Go home to England")

    How to recognise a scummer;

    They are wearing a -

    1. England jersey
    2. Celtic jersey
    3. St. Patricks Athletic jersey

    :p

They should wear their Man Utd or Liverpool geansais and they'll fit right in.

Jesus, I'd be very surprised if that was the case. You'd wanna hope that the opposition don't score to avoid a load of leery Paddies rubbing your face in it but in a friendly banterish kind of way.
One of the lads on under-age soccer teams I played on wore Engerland shirts and nobody batted an eyelid, and I'm from a Gha area too.

I have been told "you've got a fuxking nerve wearing that in here" by a guy wearing a Man U shirt, but the guys either side of him (who were wearing Liverpool Shirts) just ripped the piss out of him and he skulked back to his corner.

Amongst reasonable, intelligent people there should be no problem, but it's the unreasonable, intellectually challenged ones I'm worried about.

..and tell them you'll be taking your business as well as your jersey elsewhere.

Wore my England jersey out in town (Cork) today. Got one or two looks but I couldn't give a rats what others think

I'll support our neighbours like they support us

The English should be allowed to express their love for their team of highly paid adulterers. After all, their media and public were generally generous to the Ireland team any time we qualified (esp 94 and 02)

But I draw the line at Northern Ireland jerseys.
