Hey, I'm looking to buy a football to practice shooting meself. Could anyone tell me the difference between the o'neills all-ireland and inter-county balls. Obviously with the massive price difference the all ireland must be better quality, but would the inter county be the same weight and suffice for practicing?

These are very similar to O'Neills match balls and are considerably less expensive.

Looks a carbon copy to the all ireland to be true!

Yep think they're the closest you can get without it being the genuine article.

Would it be around the same weight though as a lot of the balls seem lighter than the match ball.

I honestly couldn't tell you but a rep from McKeever told me they are almost identical for what it's worth. Hopefully someone else will have some experience of these balls to confirm or deny.

Cheers for the help sure. Might save up and buy the o'neills (what I know) unless someone has experience of these

I've size 4 O Neills and McKeever balls for ladies football, isn't any difference in the weight - the girls and I prefer using the McKeever balls as they are a bit better to grip than the O Neills. Pretty much identical other than the better grip with the McKeever balls - I've found when I'm wearing gloves in drier weather that the O Neills balls are slippery. The majority of the balls that the mens club use as well are McKeever, I kicked a size five one around and tbh that was pretty much like the O Neills one as well.

The O Neills match ball is about 60 euro, the Inter county trainer is a lighter ball and cheaper. It would not be worth your while buying the inter county ball as it would be too light, the McKeever is the way to go if you are looking for a cheaper ball but the same weight as the O Neills

Gonna get that McKeever one so. Seems like it should do the job.
