Just left the Centra in Johnstown Co Kildare.
They have large boxes of Volvic still water (500ml) 24 in a box for €10.
Works out about 42c a bottle, which would be very reasonable for all you jogger and gym goers!

Unsure if it's rolled out against all Centras or not, but I was in Johnstown (between Naas and Kill) at about 5pm and they had about 20 large boxes there

Think it does, the plastic starts to contaminate the water over time.

    Hi Snubbleste.

Without trying to make you look like an idiot, the answer to that is, some people actually buy bottled MINERAL water from shops.
As far a I know, volvic is normally a euro to buy from a shop, as this works out at 42c a bottle, less than half price, so it is (in my eyes) a bargain. Hence why I posted in bargain alerts.

Does that explain how it's a better bargain than clean TAP water?

Lol, I'm well aware of that. My point was that water CAN go out of date!
Water can go stale, and I certainly know that if I have water in a plastic bottle for a while, you will definitely smell and taste staleness of it!

    It's not rocket science......:D

Water won't go stale, it starts to stagnate as you quoted in a previous post. Bottle water contains little or no chlorine, and so bacteria can start to grow over time, this why it has a use by date. If light is not able to penetrate the bottle then this reduced.
There are a number other factors that cause the bacteria to grow.
So maybe it is science ;)

Ah ya's thankless pile of feckers!
Bargain alert has turned into a lecture on the laws of science!
Next time I spot a load of cheap aqua, I'm just gonna drink it all meself!:D
