I subscribe to Irish Runner and occasionally get Athletics Weekly both of which I find good in general. A while back I stumbled across www.spikesmag.com and signed up for their FREE Spikes Magazine which just arrived. Both website and mag are great, lots of interviews, videos, features etc.

Any other recommended mags, sites for the athletics fan ?

RunDirect isn't bad, for local knowledge of races and what's going on.

I've been listening to the marathontalk podcast recently. Still fairly new but good for background noise:

I came across this magazine yesterday while trying to get rid of loose change at an airport in the UK, Trail Running magazine. http://www.facebook.com/TrailRunningMag?ref=ts&v=wall and http://www.livefortheoutdoors.com/News-Landing/Search-Results/Competitions-and-offers/Latest-issue-of-Trail-Running-out/

The current issue is only their third, they were bi-annual last year but are going quarterly this year and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it. It's got a great selection of articles, training (such as moving from road to trail running) and nutrition tips and gear reviews and it's not 50% articles/50% advertisements like some others. One interesting little bit was a comparison by a nutritionist of energy sweets and normal jelly babies, the jelly babies are rated better than the Powerbar ride shots. Worth checking out if you can get your hands on a copy if it's available over here.
