Typo passenger name in both Ryanair & Aerlingus booking

A friend of mine has a flight with Ryanair to London and return with Aer Lingus. His friend booked for both of them but made the same typo in both tickets. Instead of his surname being 'Heneghan' as per his passport, it reads 'Henaghan' ... I know spelling must be 100% correct, but did anyone have a similar minor typo on their ticket and get accepted no problem.
The tickets cost ~50 each .... to change would i expect cost over 100 in total.

    any advice is much appreciated.

Shouldn't be a problem, but the airlines will normally change a small typo like that free of charge if you call them.

Ring the Customer Service departments of both. There shouldn't be a problem as the previous poster has said.

My Mum has two names: one that she was christened with and hates and another nickname that she uses all the time (and obviously likes better). Most people don't know her real name, and her driving licence is in her nickname.

The last time she was flying to the UK, she forgot that she would be using her passport and put herself down under her nickname instead of her birth name. She normally gets me to book flights for her but this time she was doing it....

Anyhow, huge crisis when she discovered the error.

But when she rang Customer Service in Ryanair, they were fabulous. Changed her name without any problems or any charge.

The error is completely understandable. I would be incredibly surprised if you had any difficulty whatsoever changing.
