I didnt back up Iphone before jailbreak looking for help.

Hey guys I jailbreak my Iphone 3gs yesterday with spirit. I was told to back up before I did it but I only sync'd my phone with Itunes was this the correct or wrong way to back up? If not is there any thing I can do now?

Once you did the Jailbreak did you lose anything off your phone? The only reason to backup was to keep all your text messages and contacts. If you didn't lose any of your data then your OK.

I would guess you were told to do a backup before running the jailbreak in case you lost everything.

No I didnt loose anything. Sync'ing the phone with itunes as far as I am aware will make a copy of my contacts, photos etc but not your phones settings. Now I may be wrong but if the something happens the phone now and I need to do a system restore will I be ok?

you can do a backup now with itunes. it will work the same as a backup before the jailbreak. that way you will have the backup if anything goes wrong.

if something does go wrong (which doesnt happen often) and you do have to restore, then you can just jailbreak again and restore you backup.

you have nothing to worry about really.
